Swix took Fischer to court in Norway in 2014, claiming that the Multi tip system constituted an infringement on the TBS patent. Oslo City Court found in favor of Fischer. Swix subsequently appealed the judgment.
Fischer and Swix have now settled out of court and found a good solution for both Parties rewarding Fischer a worldwide license for their Multi Tip basket system. The parties agree to continue their long time cooperation in all markets and also protect their interchangeable basket technology towards future possible infringements.
- It is always difficult to be in a legal disagreement with a close business partner. Fischer and Swix share distribution in many markets and our cooperation touches also other business areas, so we in Swix are very happy to settle and finding a business solution with Fischer, states Ulf Bjerknes, CEO of Swix Sport AS.
- We are very happy to have successfully resolved this case. We are looking forward to continue working with Swix, protecting our technologies and further developing our combined business projects, states Franz Föttinger CEO of Fischer Sports GmbH.
