GLIDE:  Alternative 1 – easy (non fluor)

  1. Iron in CH6X. Let cool off. Iron in once more and let cool off. Scrape off with a Swix Plexi Scraper, and brush with a Swix Bronze or Steel Brush.
  2. Finish with the Blue Nylon Polish Brush.

GLIDE:  Alternative 2 – more experienced

  1. Iron in one layer of DHF104BWBlackMarathon or DHF104 White Marathon. Let cool off. Iron in once more and let cool off. Scrape off with a Swix Plexi Scraper, and brush with a Swix Bronze or Steel Brush.
  2. Apply Cera F FC78with an iron temperature of approx. 170°C. Make one continuous pass with the iron with a constant pressure

You may also use FC8Xat 165°C, this is easier if you´re not a professional – take one side of the groove at the time. Let cool approx. 10 min. Brush the powder away with a horsehair- or wild boar brush. There´s margins between this powder today.

  1. Finish with the Blue Nylon Polish Brush.

GRIP:  For Sunday

The temperature in the valley today is +4,5ºC at 10.30,

There are coming warm wind from the east. The weather forcast says that it´s going to be colder in the afternoon, and less windy.

Sand (rub) the grip zone area with #100 grit silicon sandpaper.

  1. Apply a very thin layer of VG35Green Base Wax. Iron in and let cool off. As an alternative, you can use one thin layer of KB20 baseklister spray
  2. Apply one layer of V30Blue Grip Wax. Iron in and let cool off.
  3. Apply 2-3 layers of VR55N Violet Grip Wax. Smooth carefully out between each layer. How many layers of grip wax you should apply depends on the span of your ski.
  4. If your skis are slipping, adjust with VR62 or VX63.
  5. Put some of these waxes in your pocket during the race if you need extra kick.

For the first racers:

For the first racers who uses kickwax it´s an opportunity to put on a layer of V45/VR45on top of the VR55N for better feeling.

This decision should be made at the start Sunday morning when you see the temperature and conditions.

SKIN SKIS

If you are using skis with integrated skinswe recommend to clean the skins with N18 Skin Cleaner PROand then use N17Z Swix Skin Care PRO zeroto improve the skins glide properties.

We wish everybody a nice trip!
