Which roller ski is right for you?

Swix produces roller skis for skating and classic technique. This article looks at the features of each model to give you a better technical understanding of your roller skis before investing in a new pair.

Roller ski classic

Roller skis for classic technique are designed to replicate the classic technique on asphalt. We’ve made use of all our knowledge and technology to give you the closest feeling to skiing on snow. We offer Swix Roadline Classic for classic roller skis.

No need to worry about grip wax here. Both wheels have barrier bearings that provide a spike grip, and you only need to focus on rolling forward. The wheels are wider compared to the skate wheels to provide more stability and to minimize vibration from the ground.

Swix Roadline Classic has a newly-developed frame with a shape that utilizes the best properties of the aluminum material. All components and design are 100% based on all the innovations of the Swix Carbon classic. The ski provides a good response in the kick and you can quickly get into a good flow.

This roller ski is great for recreational skiers and professionals who want to train their skiing all year round.

If you prefer the skating technique, Swix Roadline Skate and Swix Triac Carbon Skate are options for you. Roller skis designed for skating are also great for skiing if you like to vary styles.

The Swix Roadline Skate is an aluminum skate ski. The frame is lowered to provide the perfect ski feel and stability. The wheel bracket is located above the center of the frame to get as close to the surface as possible. The roller ski is an excellent skate ski for top skiers as well as recreational skiers. It has exceptional manoeuvrability and is the lightest roller ski we have produced in aluminum to date.
