STRUCTURE

Stone ground skis: Fine structure. Use hand structure on stone ground skis for better glide.

Swix Structure Tool: 1.00 mm linear structure. Use light pressure behind the bindings.

GLIDE – Alt. 1 (best in test today)

  1. Spray on HF6XL Liquid. Apply in temperatures above 10°C. Let dry for at least 15 minutes. (Remember to have a hard glider as base.)
  2. Finish with the SWIX Blue Nylon Polish Brush.
  3. Apply Cera F FC8X with an iron temperature of approx. 165°C. Make one continuous pass with the iron with a constant pressure – take one side of the groove at the time. Let cool approx. 10 min. Brush the powder away with a horsehair- or wild boar brush.
  4. Finish with the Blue Nylon Polish Brush.

GLIDE – Alt. 2

  1. Iron in one layer of HF6X or DHF104 White Marathon. Let cool off. Iron in once more and let cool off. Scrape off with a Swix Plexi Scraper, and brush with a Swix Bronze or Steel Brush.
  2. Apply Cera F FC8X with an iron temperature of approx. 165°C. Make one continuous pass with the iron with a constant pressure – take one side of the groove at the time. Let cool approx. 10 min.
  3. Brush the powder away with a horsehair- or wild boar brush.
  4. Finish with the Blue Nylon Polish Brush.

GRIP

  1. Sand (rub) the grip zone area with #100 grit silicon sandpaper.
  2. Iron in one layer of VG30 Blue Base Binder. Let cool off.
  3. Apply 4-8 thin layers of VR40 Blue Grip Wax. Smooth carefully out between each layer.

If temperature rises more than predicted and/or you experience slippery skis before start we recommend adjusting with VR45 Violet Grip Wax.

Take along VR45 and VR50, waxing cork and a scraper.

SKIN SKIS

If you are using skis with integrated skins we recommend to clean the skins with N18 Skin Cleaner PRO and then use N17C Skin Care PRO Cold to improve the skins glide properties.

STRUCTURE

Stone ground skis: Medium/fine structure. Use hand structure on stone ground skis for better glide.

Swix Structure Tool: 1.00 mm linear structure. Use light pressure.

GLIDE

Iron in CH6X and let cool off. Scrape off with a Plexi Scraper, and brush with a Swix Bronze Brush (T162) or Steel Brush (T179).

Liquid Option: Spray on CH6XL Liquid. Apply in temperatures above 10°C. Let dry for at least 15 minutes. Finish with the SWIX Blue Nylon Polish Brush.

GRIP

  1. Sand (rub) the grip zone area with #100 grit silicon sandpaper.
  2. Iron in one layer of VG30 Blue Base Binder. Let cool off outside.
  3. Apply 4-8 thin layers of V40 Blue Extra Grip Wax. Smooth carefully out between each layer.

How many layers of grip wax you should apply depends on the span of your ski.

If temperature rises more than predicted and/or you experience slippery skis before start we recommend adjusting with V45 Violet Special Grip Wax.

Take along V45 Violet Special Grip Wax, waxing cork and a scraper.

SKIN SKIS

If you are using skis with integrated skins we recommend cleaning the skins with N16 Skin Cleaner and then use N15 Skin Care to improve the skins glide properties.

We wish everybody a nice trip!
